Deakin was founded in 22nd June 2004 as a financial planning firm. Deakin was known as "Deakin Wealth Solution". In 2006, Deakin restructured the core business, and moved from financial planning to focus on Financial Psychology and Behavioral Finance. Was officially known as "Deakin International Sdn Bhd" with aims to serve and support the financial services industry. Deakin's pioneer business line is the ultimate solution to assess the emotional ability of an investor taking financial risk - FinaMetrica.
In 2007, Deakin created another major milestone when it was granted as one of the accredited organizations providing Continuing Professional Education (CPE) for the Securities Commission. With the approval, Deakin was the first CPE provider that specializes in Financial Psychology and Behavioral Finance programs.
Today, Deakin's business partners include FinaMetrica, financial institutions, academic institutions, and the regulators. In just a few years time, Deakin had gain trust from more than 130 organizations in the financial services industry.
In 2008, Deakin has collaborated with HELP University College (HUC) to co-design a corporate training program for the financial industry - Certificate in Applied Psychology (CAP).
Year 2009 marks a new milestone for Deakin. Deakin Consulting was formed to provide consulting services and solutions to serve our clients in improving organization performance. On the other hand, Deakin Learning continue to focus on the design and development of Financial Psychology and Behavioral Finance program series, and actively supports the research and development of Behavioral Finance.
